Highway Accidents in East Greenwich, Rhode Island
High-speed roads like Route 4 in East Greenwich are vital for commuters, but can also be sites of serious injury crashes, especially near busy exits like 9A. Exit ramps often present a

mix of slowing and merging vehicles, making them common areas for rear-end or side-impact collisions.
In areas like this, even a brief moment of distraction or a delayed reaction can lead to a crash. Drivers may misjudge braking distances or fail to yield when merging, which can be particularly dangerous in heavy traffic. Wet pavement or speeding can make an already risky situation even worse.
Injury crashes on highways often result in significant trauma. Common injuries include neck and spine injuries, broken bones, internal injuries, and concussions. These injuries may require emergency care, surgery, physical therapy, and weeks or months of recovery. Victims also frequently face mental health challenges such as anxiety or depression after the trauma of a crash.
After a highway accident, legal guidance becomes especially important. Insurance companies may move quickly to settle, but an early offer may not reflect the full cost of treatment or lost income. A personal injury attorney will carefully assess your situation and fight for a fair outcome that covers your medical expenses, property damage, lost wages, and pain and suffering.
In Rhode Island, victims of car crashes have the right to pursue compensation when another driver’s negligence causes harm. An experienced lawyer will help gather evidence, work with medical professionals, and negotiate with insurers on your behalf.
