Phillipston, MA – Six Injured, One Airlifted in Multi-Vehicle Crash on Rte 2

Phillipston, MA (September 15, 2025) – Six people were hospitalized following a multi-vehicle crash involving a logging truck on Monday, September 15. The accident happened just before 10:00 a.m. on Route 2 westbound near Phillipston.

Police reported that several vehicles were involved, including a dump truck, two vans, two pickup trucks, and the logging truck. One car and the truck carrying logs caught fire after the impact. A bystander pulled one person from a burning vehicle before firefighters arrived. Crews quickly extinguished the flames.

Emergency personnel confirmed that one patient suffered traumatic injuries and was airlifted to a nearby hospital. Five other victims were transported to local hospitals for treatment.
