Truck Accidents in Massachusetts
Truck accidents pose a significant risk on Massachusetts highways, especially on major routes like Route 2. Large vehicles such as logging trucks, dump trucks, and tractor-trailers

often share the road with passenger cars. When a crash happens, the results can be severe due to the size and weight of commercial vehicles.
Victims of truck accidents frequently suffer from life-altering injuries. Broken bones, spinal cord damage, burns, and traumatic brain injuries are common. In some cases, survivors face long rehabilitation periods or permanent disabilities. Beyond the physical harm, victims and their families often struggle with mounting medical bills, loss of income, and emotional trauma.
The causes of truck accidents vary. Driver fatigue, speeding, and mechanical failures are among the leading factors. In cases involving logging trucks or other heavy loads, improper cargo securement can contribute to collisions. Overloaded or unbalanced cargo may cause a truck to tip, jackknife, or ignite fires when involved in a crash. Distracted driving also continues to be a problem on busy highways.
Legal claims involving truck accidents can be complex. Several parties may share liability, including the truck driver, the trucking company, the vehicle’s owner, or even third parties responsible for loading cargo. Investigating these cases often requires reviewing driver logs, maintenance records, and trucking company policies.
When someone is injured in a truck accident in Massachusetts, they may be entitled to compensation. This can include medical expenses, lost wages, rehabilitation costs, pain and suffering, and in some cases, punitive damages. Because trucking companies and their insurers often fight to limit payouts, having an accomplished truck accident lawyer on your side can make a critical difference.
