Car Accidents in Providence

Car accidents are a daily occurrence in Providence and throughout Rhode Island. With major routes like I-95 running through the city, crashes are common, especially in high-traffic areas like highway exits and merges. These accidents can range from minor fender benders

to serious collisions that leave victims with life-changing injuries.

Many of the most common causes of highway accidents include distracted driving, following too closely, speeding, and unsafe lane changes. When drivers are not paying attention or act recklessly, the risk of harm increases for everyone on the road. Even a momentary distraction can lead to a serious crash on a fast-moving highway.

Injuries from these accidents often vary. Victims may suffer from back and neck injuries, broken bones, concussions, or internal injuries. Even if an injury does not appear serious at first, symptoms may develop in the hours or days that follow. That’s why it is always important to seek medical attention after any collision, even if you feel fine at the scene.

Legal help is also important after a car accident. Insurance companies may try to limit what they pay out, or may even deny a valid claim. A personal injury attorney can step in to protect your rights and make sure you get the help you need. They can handle communication with insurers, gather evidence like accident reports and medical records, and work to secure fair compensation for your injuries, lost wages, and pain and suffering.

In Rhode Island, you may be entitled to compensation if another driver’s negligence caused your injuries. A lawyer can help you understand the full extent of your legal options and make sure you are not left facing the consequences of an accident alone.
