Scooter Accidents in Providence

Scooter accidents have become more common in Providence and other Rhode Island cities. With more people using scooters for transportation, collisions with cars happen more often.

Many of these accidents occur in residential areas, where drivers may not expect to see scooters on the road.

Scooter riders face serious risks on the road. They have very little protection during a crash, so injuries are often severe. Common injuries include broken bones, head trauma, cuts, and internal injuries. These injuries can lead to long hospital stays, surgeries, and long recovery times.

Many crashes happen because drivers do not see scooter riders. Speeding, distracted driving, and failing to yield at intersections are major causes. Poor lighting and road conditions can also make crashes more likely, especially at night.

Victims of scooter crashes may be able to claim compensation. This can include payment for medical bills, lost wages, and pain and suffering. Insurance companies may offer low settlements, so it is important to speak to a personal injury lawyer. A lawyer will fight for your rights and help you get fair compensation.

An experienced personal injury attorney can also investigate the accident, collect video or witness statements, and review police reports. They will make sure that those injured are treated fairly and that responsible drivers are held accountable.
