West Bridgewater, MA (July 29, 2025) – A person suffered serious injuries after being thrown from a vehicle during a rollover crash on Tuesday, July 29.
The crash happened around 11:00 a.m. on the southbound side of Route 24 near mile marker 27.2. Massachusetts State Police and local first responders arrived quickly to find a badly injured person at the scene.
Due to the severity of the injuries, a MedFlight helicopter was called in. The victim was flown to a nearby hospital for emergency treatment by 11:30 a.m.
In response to the crash, officials shut down the left and middle southbound lanes of Route 24. The northbound side reopened shortly before noon, but closures on the southbound side remained in place for several hours.
Authorities have not shared details about what caused the rollover or whether other vehicles were involved. The investigation is still ongoing.
We extend our sincere wishes for recovery to the person injured in this incident.
Rollover Accidents in Massachusetts
Rollover crashes are among the most dangerous types of vehicle accidents and often lead

to severe or fatal injuries. In Massachusetts, these incidents are not uncommon on major highways like Route 24, where high speeds and sudden movements can quickly turn deadly.
Rollover accidents occur when a vehicle tips onto its side or roof, often due to overcorrection, collision, or sharp turns. SUVs and trucks are particularly vulnerable because of their higher center of gravity. In this recent West Bridgewater crash, the fact that the driver was ejected shows how serious these types of crashes can be—especially if seatbelts are not used.
Victims of rollover crashes often face traumatic injuries, including spinal cord damage, head trauma, broken bones, and internal bleeding. Recovery can take months or even years. Emergency care like MedFlight transport, surgery, and rehabilitation often come with overwhelming costs.
In many cases, negligence contributes to rollover accidents. Speeding, distracted driving, and unsafe road conditions can all lead to a crash. Sometimes vehicle defects, such as faulty tires or weak roof structures, are to blame. When someone is hurt due to another person’s actions—or a defective product—they may be entitled to compensation.
A skilled personal injury attorney can help victims pursue claims to cover medical expenses, lost income, pain and suffering, and future care needs. Attorneys also work to uncover the cause of the crash by reviewing police reports, accident reconstructions, and witness statements.
Timing is key when filing a personal injury claim in Massachusetts. The sooner victims act, the better their chances of securing full and fair compensation. Legal professionals offer guidance and peace of mind during what is often a painful and confusing time.
