Motorcycle Accidents in Rhode Island

Motorcycle accidents are a growing concern in Rhode Island. Riders face unique risks on the

road due to their limited protection compared to cars and trucks. Even when wearing helmets and protective gear, motorcyclists and their passengers often suffer severe injuries in collisions.

Common causes of motorcycle crashes include drivers failing to see motorcycles at intersections, distracted driving, and speeding. Because motorcycles are smaller and harder to spot, drivers may overlook them when making turns or changing lanes. This problem becomes worse at night or in areas with poor visibility.

The injuries from motorcycle accidents can be devastating. Riders frequently suffer broken bones, head trauma, spinal cord damage, and severe road rash. These injuries often require long recovery periods and costly medical treatment. For some victims, the physical and emotional impact of a crash can last a lifetime.

Rhode Island has taken steps to improve motorcycle safety, including helmet laws and rider education programs. Still, accidents continue to occur, especially in high-traffic areas like Warwick. In many cases, negligent drivers are at fault. Holding those drivers accountable through legal action can help victims secure the resources they need to heal and rebuild their lives.

Compensation after a motorcycle accident may include medical expenses, lost wages, rehabilitation costs, and pain and suffering. Victims should not have to face these burdens alone. An experienced Rhode Island motorcycle accident lawyer can guide victims through the legal process, deal with insurance companies, and fight for fair compensation.
